Haunted Savannah
Savannah, Georgia
has long been associated wi th
ghosts and being a very mystifying environment. Tribespeople of
the fallen Mayan Empires would arrive here. Europeans chasing
various destinies set foot upon her bluff. Just inside the early
20th century, the world's very first parapsychologists from Duke
University routinely sought Savannah out for paranormal
identifications, and still do so. More recent times have
observed the likes of self-help guru, Deepak Chopra, creating a
healing center in Savannah. It would also be in 2002 that The
American Institute of Parapsychology doded the honorarium of
"America's Most Haunted City" to her.
So many have found Savannah an inexplicable mix of haunting and
healing energies and all the more reason for you to explore her
for your own journey's sake. What of Savannah may inspire you or
turn you afoot in some new direction in your life? The place
might raise you up or send you on the run!
Or better yet, what etheral voices might seek you out in the
dark room of your haunted B&B, Inn, Hostel or Hotel? Yes, in
Savannah, locals laugh at the expression "if these walls
could talk!" They chuckle because they're used to the
constant banter of old pine floors, the grey brick facades
endlessly whispering, the loud exchanges between windows
staircases and doors! Their buildings don't just talk! They
stretch and move about and are alive with things of before! The
past is the present, and you're just a fly on the ghostly walls
of it all!
Oh--and a little secret. Savannah's old houses and hotels are
partnered in crime with their often life-like inhabitants. Think
you saw a bellman or a maid or your sister? Better look, listen
and feel that one out again. In Savannah, there's often no way
of saying; at least not until your previous view of reality has
been turned on it's proverbial head!
