Located in Sandbach in Cheshire, the hotel dates from 1656 and stands on a previous manor house which burnt down. Over the years many people have lived and worked here, and the building remembers. Over the years different ghosts have made there presence known to staff and residents of the hotel, objects move, strange presences are felt and apparitions have been seen. The hotel is currently being investigated by ghosthaunted and the old hall hotel is rated as one of the most haunted buildings in Great Britain.

15th-century inn stands on the site of a Benedictine abbey, though all that now remains of the abbey are a stone porch and gateway. Folklore tells of a young girl who walks through the corridors and bedrooms of the hotel and has even been ‘seen’ by startled guests in the hotel restaurant.

The Langham Hilton in London, built in 1865, was once owned by the British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC). Reporters, perhaps to weasel out of deadlines, claim to have seen ghosts in Victorian garb, as well as the ghost of a German soldier. Some claim that Napoleon III haunts the Langham's basement. If you stay, Room 333 is supposed to be the most haunted.

The Bell Hotel is considered one of the most haunted hotels in England. The hotel has been in operation since the 15th century. One of the hotel rooms is reputedly haunted by a monk, while downstairs the drawing room is haunted by Betty Radcliffe.

Ballygally Castle was built in 1625. Now a hotel "it is the only 17th century building in Northern Ireland still being used as a residence today". The original beam ceilings and antique pine furniture which decorate the hotel’s guest rooms "give the feeling of what stylish living was like in the last century". Not to mention the ghost, who is said to be that of the former Lady of the castle. Lady Isobel Shaw’s ghost is reputed to be rather playful, she loves to knock on the doors of the guests; apparently she is quite amused by their reactions when they find no one there.

This well-known castle outside of Dublin was the site of the nuptials between Paul McCartney and Heather Mills, but that's not what makes Castle Leslie scary (the scariest wedding of the year was probably Liza Minnelli and David Gest's). The castle has been in the Leslie family for over 300 years, and apparently some relatives have never left the grounds. Many long-dead Leslie aunts and uncles have been spotted, and there's even a ghostly dog named Punch.

The castle is haunted by Lady Marion Carruthers who took her own life by leaping from the lookout tower of Comlongon Castle where she was being held captive. Because suicide was suspected at the time Marion was not given a proper Christian burial and so it is believed that she haunts the castle forever looking for a proper resting place.
